Have you ever visited the Upper Room in Jerusalem? The room is called the Cenacle which means "to dine" or "the dining room." The Upper Room is the site where Jesus held the Passover meal with his disciples, prepared them for ministry, and poured out the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost.
I have not had the privilege to visit that Upper Room but when I meet with the Lord in prayer and Bible reading I believe I a meeting with Jesus in the Upper Room of His presence.
This Sunday we will study Luke 24: 35-49 where Jesus appeared to the disciples in the Upper Room, after his resurrection. I encourage you to read this passage and meet with Jesus. Let Him encourage you in the Upper Room of His presence.
This Thursday is the National Day of Prayer. I encourage you to take time at noon or on your lunch break to prayer for our nation. Join the prayer meeting at the Capitol here in Bismarck if you can.
I look forward to meeting with you this Sunday. As we gather in His name, He will meet with us just as He met with those early disciples.
Pastor Dan Kent, his wife Laurie, and their two sons came to Capital Christian Center in 2010. They also enjoy sharing music ministry in church and at other opportunities.
MAY WE PRAY WITH YOU TODAY?
